What additional emergency care is offered by Familycare Basel?

For the maintenance of the healthcare system, in particular the operation of hospitals, our emergency nanny pool at the emergency nanny standard rate of CHF 35.- per hour is available with immediate effect exclusively for the groups of healthcare personnel defined by the cantons, such as doctors and nursing staff. Please contact our office for this purpose: +41 61 261 45 61 or via  info(at)familycare.ch.

As the Federal Council and the cantons have communicated, in the interest of your family's health, we call on you to consider that the daycare centers are in principle closed and to seek alternative care solutions, such as individual agreements with your employer (home office, reduction of overtime, holidays, etc.) or to organize solutions within the family and among friends or neighbors yourself.

What effects do the regulations of the authorities have on parental contributions?Familycare Basel issued a letter in this context, to all parents on March 20, 2020.

For member companies and private members

What support does Familycare Basel offer member companies and private members in the healthcare sector?

In order to maintain the healthcare system, especially the hospital operations, we have significantly increased the emergency nanny pool and will continue to promote this through further measures such as the ongoing recruitment of additional emergency nannies and the integration of our specialists in childcare from the daycare centers into this pool.

Our emergency nanny pool is now available primarily for the healthcare groups defined by the cantons, such as doctors and nursing staff. Please contact our office for this purpose: +41 61 261 45 61 or via info(at)familycare.ch.

What support does Familycare Basel offer member companies and private members outside the healthcare sector?

As the Federal Council and the cantons have communicated, we appeal in our e-mails to all parents to observe the above-mentioned restrictions in the interest of the health of the families of employees of all our member companies, and to seek alternative care solutions, such as individual agreements with their employer (home office, reduction of overtime, holidays, etc.) or to organize solutions within their family and their circle of friends or in the neighborhood.

We therefore ask you, as a member company or private member, to show the same solidarity and to support the employees by providing flexible solutions wherever possible (home office, reduction of overtime, etc.). Familycare Basel has also been instructed by the authorities to first of all support only those employees who are essential for the maintenance of hospital operations by arranging care solutions for them. However, you are still welcome to contact the Familycare Basel office at any time and place your inquiries there. Please understand, however, that due to the current situation, answers and solutions can only be offered with a certain delay.
What effects do the regulations of the authorities have on membership fees?

In this difficult situation for everyone, Familycare Basel appeals to the solidarity of member companies and private members. As a non-profit association with a very high personnel intensity due to the nature of the industry, and with ongoing fixed costs for personnel, room rent and catering contracts that cannot be cancelled immediately, for example, the foreseeable challenges are outstanding. Further information will follow as soon as available.
