Kita Familycare Wettsteinplatz: The Kita in the wonderful former Carthusian monastery close to the Rhine
The Kita Familycare Wettsteinplatz is nestled in the grounds of the Basel City Orphanage, a former Carthusian monastery directly on the Rhine. On several floors, the historic house offers lovingly furnished child-friendly rooms that encourage them to discover, play and move. The magnificent garden directly on the Rhine with its playground and petting zoo fascinates young and old alike. Kita Familycare Wettsteinplatz was awarded both the "Burzelbaum-Kita" and the "Fourchette verte - Ama terra" label as part of a project for more exercise and healthy nutrition. Like all Familycare Basel daycare centers, the Familycare Wettsteinplatz Kita and its entire staff stand for high quality pedagogical values and look after the children according to recognized educational principles.

Costs 2022 (Members)
- CHF 2,550.-/month for children above 18 months for 5 days/week
- CHF 3,100.-/month for children up to and including 18 months for 5 days/week
- CHF 600.- flat for the acclimatisation period on entry (2 weeks min)
Age-appropriate, high-quality meals (breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks) as well as diapers and hygiene products are always included in the costs

«We really thought long and hard about which daycare center we would like to entrust our son to. But at the Familycare Wettsteinplatz daycare center, it was immediately clear that everything fits here. We were particularly impressed by the loving interaction with children at eye level, the educational concept, the great garden with petting zoo and huge area to let off steam, and the varied, age-appropriate program. Especially with the Koalas, we were able to experience how attentively, developmentally and needs-oriented our child is treated and how much freedom is given for individual development. Despite everything, the necessary limits are also set. I have never experienced a situation in which I would have reacted differently than the caregivers at the Koalas.
