Dear parents,

We have just been informed that the canton Basel-Landschaft has taken the following decision to implement the Federal Council's Corona measures with regard to daycare centers. Here is the corresponding excerpt:

At an extraordinary meeting today, the Cantonal Council discussed the impact of the Federal Council's new corona ordinance on the various areas. From 16 March 2020, no more on-site teaching will take place. Compulsory school attendance is not abolished. The BKSD will inform schools at all levels of the next steps in the evening hours. Parents, pupils and students will be informed over the weekend. The kindergartens and primary schools have been instructed to ensure supervision at the school locations. The daycare centers (KITA) throughout the canton will remain in operation. As everywhere, the hygiene measures and regulations of the Federal Office of Public Health apply.

This means that the daycare centers operated by Familycare Basel in the canton of Basel-Landschaft (Kita Familycare Oberwil and Kita Familycare Reinach) will remain open without restrictions until further notice.

We would like to point out that both daycare centers are currently fully booked and we are therefore unfortunately unable to offer additional care for children of school age (kindergarten and primary school).
